The Storm Robotics team has begun its second year as a team of dedicated students working towards a brighter future. Founded in 2009, the Storm Robotics consists of two sister schools from one district coming together to build a robot for the First Robotics Competition. The two schools work together and set aside their traditional rivalries for several weeks of intense robot construction for a game created by FIRST. During the rookie year, the team hit the FIRST community with a full force hurricane of energy and dedication. Team 2729 won the Rookie All Star Award in Washington DC Regional’s and at the Philadelphia Regional, allowing the team to head on to the world champs for their first year as a team. At the world champs Storm won the Highest Rookie Seed Award, bringing an end to their status as rookies.
